Max Lamb designs and makes small unique furniture pieces using a variety of natural and synthetic materials combined with sculptural processes. His materials include solid Chinese granite, sheets of steel, pewter cast in sand, hand-crafted plaster carved with stonemasonry tools, manmade marble, bronze, and aluminum that he personally collects from China, Australia, New York, and Cornwall, England. His inspiration grows from his desire to explore and recontextualize both traditional and unconventional materials, celebrating their inherent properties and exploiting their potential.

Lamb has received numerous design awards and his work has been collected by museums in Belgium, France, Israel, England, and the U.S. He was born in Cornwall, England and lives and works in London, England.
