Jacqueline Mallegni is a papermaker and paper artist. She says of her work: “My artwork is inspired by mother-nature's ‘installations’ formed by water, wind, light, and dark. Patterns in nature, textures, and seasonal changes have always played an important role in my art practice where inspiration and internal wisdom are transformed into sculpture. Eastern philosophy and aesthetics provide a container in which I focus my attention on creating work that speaks to the concept of creative place making. I explore my perception of a sense of place within myself and my relationship to that place and environment. As our lives have changed through social distancing and uncertainty, creating a sense of place through creative process is a timely practice. I am deeply grateful.”

Mallegni’s work has been exhibited throughout the U.S. She was born in San Francisco, California, and she lives and works in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
