Zoom Tips and Tricks for Webinar Participants
For the PDF version, click here.
To join the meeting: A few minutes before the start time, click on the Zoom link, you will be placed in the waiting room and the moderator will admit you to the meeting when the time is right. You will have an opportunity to test your audio at this point by clicking on “Test Computer Audio.”
You may also join a meeting by going to join.zoom.us on any browser and entering the Meeting ID provided.
Viewing issues: If you are having any viewing issues, we suggest turning off your video function and/or virtual background, because they can create video lag or quality issues and take more bandwidth.
Process of meetings: There will be a maximum of 3 participants’ work discussed during each meeting. Each participant will receive approximately 30 minutes of feedback from the speaker. At the beginning or end of each artist’s feedback, the rest of the participants will have an opportunity to give their reflections on the work.
Although you have specified dates when your work will be discussed, you are encouraged to attend other participants’ sessions. You are also welcome to post your comments or questions to the artist being discussed in the Zoom Chat (see graphic below). Note: the Chat that was generated during the meeting is available in the recording link to the right side of the video.
Change View (see graphic below): We recommend Speaker View. You can change from Gallery View (seeing all meeting participants displayed in smaller boxes at once in a grid view) to Speaker View (seeing the current speaker’s video prominently) by clicking on the View Icon in the upper righthand corner of the screen.
