Jeanne Jesse follows the surrealist legacy inspiring by her lucid and shamanic experiences. She writes: “My paintings represent spiritual explorations of various journeys life has taken me on. I have been greatly influenced by my travels, which have brought me to Europe, South America, and China. I continue to develop a body of work that expresses and investigates meditations, shamanism, symbolism, and the abstract. I feel very strongly that the practice of creating is a sacred relationship between the artist, the universe, and the viewer, and one cannot exist without the other.”

Jesse is the owner of Lakeshore Art Studios where she paints murals throughout the Bay Area. She was born in Chicago, Illinois, and she lives and works in Kelseyville, California.
